Rieth-Riley Construction of has been selected as the 2009 winner of PentaVision Integrated Digital Media’s “What’s Your Story?” Contest. The contest was a forum for Michiana businesses, organizations, employees and community members to submit stories and nominations on positive stories impacting the business community in the area. As the winner, Rieth-Riley, of Goshen, Indiana, will receive a three-minute video produced by the PentaVision team.
“It was a very difficult choice to make because we had some great story submissions,” President Ryan Geist stated. “The Rieth-Riley Construction story really stood out - our judges agreed that Rieth-Riley’s dedication to its employees and the community was really the tipping point for the selection as winner,” he continued.
Rieth-Riley is a 100% employee-owned company, meaning each employee is responsible for and directly benefits from the company’s success. Annually, the company celebrates its unique ownership structure with open houses, charitable events, and employee-oriented events in all locations throughout Indiana and Michigan. In 2009, Rieth-Riley’s local offices decided to forgo the open houses and employee-oriented events and focused solely on a food drive for three local food pantries: the Window (Goshen), Faith Mission (Elkhart) and St. Margaret’s (South Bend).
“It is a tremendous honor to be selected for this award,” stated Jennifer Montel. She is a PC Technician for the company’s IT department and nominated Rieth-Riley for the contest. “Although our charitable activities are not done for recognition, it is a great encouragement to our employee-owners that we are making a difference as a result of our efforts. We are proud of our community, our charities, and our company,” Montel stated.
